How to Prepare for Senior Photos

What to Wear for your Session

Why I believe in Prints

The Ultimate Outfit Guide

Alright, senior girl, let’s talk about the one question that’s been keeping you up at night: What do I wear for my senior photoshoot? Don’t worry, I’ve got you. And no, you don’t need a ball gown(unless you’re going full Cinderella, but let’s be real, Ariel’s way cooler—minus the whole fin situation). But hey, no judgment if you want to live your best princess fantasy, just know you don’t need a tiara to slay your photos!

Now, let’s talk outfits. You’ve got this, and I’m here to help you figure out what will make you look and feel amazing for your senior shoot.

1. The Dressy Look: Effortless Glam

If you’re feeling magical, this look is for you. Think flowy dresses that catch the wind and make you look like you just stepped out of a fairy tale. Whether it’s a dreamy maxi or a cute mini, this look is perfect for those golden hour shots that make everything look a little extra magical. Soft blush tones, light blues, or earthy neutrals are always a vibe. Pair with cute sandals or boots, and voilà…you’ll have photos that’ll make everyone go, “Wow!” (Bonus points if you channel your inner Cinderella… just remember, no glass slippers, unless you’re pulling an Ariel and still figuring out how you’re walkin’ around on those, what do ya call ’em? Oh, feet.) Don’t forget to twirl because we know flowy dress + wind = chef’s kiss.

2. The Casual Look: Comfy, Cool, and Effortlessly Chic

We’ve all had those days where you just want to throw on something comfy but still look cute, this is that look, but with a little extra flair. Think simple tees or crop tops paired with your fave denim, skirts, or even shorts. Add in some flowy blouses with fun puffy sleeves, lace, or crochet details, and you’ve got an outfit that’s just as stylish as it is comfy. Pair with chunky sneakers, boots, or even a pair of sandal slides for that chill-girl-but-still-woke look. It’s the perfect balance of, “I just threw this on, but I totally meant to look this good.” Casual and fabulous, what’s not to love?

3. The Fun/Quirky Look: Show Off Your Personality

Okay, this is your wild card moment. This look is all about showing off your personality and maybe stepping a little outside your comfort zone. Think of it as the “I’m feeling extra today” outfit. It can be anything that makes you feel like YOU. Maybe it’s something you’d never normally wear, this is your chance to rock that wild outfit and make a statement. The more fun and unique, the better! This is your moment to shine in photos and let your inner style star take over. Go bold, go quirky, go you!

4. Accessories: The Sprinkles on Your Look

Accessories are like the sprinkles on top of your outfit, small but mighty. Think earrings, hats, bracelets, layered necklaces, and cute rings. These little details can totally transform your photos and bring your outfit to life. Just like Ariel had her gadgets and gizmos aplenty, you’ve got your own collection of accessories to make your look pop!

Quick Tip: Don’t Stress About Being Perfect!

Okay, listen up: Your senior photos are about capturing the real YOU…no need for perfection here! You don’t have to be “flawless” (that’s a lot of pressure), just be your confident self. Whether you’re twirling in a dress, rocking a tee, or laughing with your bestie, the magic happens when you’re relaxed and having fun. Wear what makes you feel amazing, and let your personality shine through. When you’re comfy and confident, that’s when the real magic happens….no bibbidi-bobbidi-booing needed. (But if I say it anyway, just know it’s because I secretly live for Disney. )
