How to Prepare for Senior Photos

What to Wear for your Session

Why I believe in Prints

Let’s be honest, when you’re scrolling Pinterest for senior photo inspo and every single photo looks like it was taken in the same dry, crunchy field… it’s giving meh.

You deserve more than meh.

You deserve photos that feel like *you*.

Bold. Radiant. Unforgettable. And most importantly, not all the same.

That’s why I’m sharing my top go-to senior session locations across Central Florida that serve variety, vibe, and visual impact. These aren’t just pretty spots. These are places that give us multiple backdrops in one shoot, so you walk away with a gallery that actually feels like you got five locations in one. (Magic? No, just Florida.)

If you’re searching for the best senior picture spots near Orlando, this is where we’re starting:

1. Lake Louisa State Park

If golden hour had a hometown, it would be Lake Louisa. This place gives all the tall-grass, soft-breeze, barefoot-in-the-Florida-wild vibes but with range. It’s not a wildflower field exactly (we’re in Florida, not the Sound of Music), but the textures, warmth, and glow are everything.

You can go from sandy trails to wooden piers to soft lakeside serenity, all in one session. Sometimes the sun cooperates beautifully. Sometimes the clouds roll in and give us moody drama instead. Either way? We pivot and roll with it. Florida’s going to Florida, and I’m here for it.

2. Downtown Winter Garden

Serving Downtown Orlando vibes, without the downtown stress.

Want that city feel but don’t want to park five blocks away and dodge a scooter on the way to your shoot? Downtown Winter Garden is my favorite low-key spot.

This spot gives you colorful walls and murals, flower-lined paths, brick texture for days, and yes, even a rooftop if you want that golden hour cool vibe! You can go all on city chic here too! There are so many fun and unique spots to explore all a few steps away from one another!

And hey, tell your mom to enjoy herself. She can grab a cold brew and some homemade donuts at Plant Street Market while we shoot. It’s basically a photo-worthy food hall, and everyone in town is obsessed with it.

3. Cocoa Beach Pier

Beach photos can start to feel same-y real quick, unless you know where to go. Cocoa Beach Pier is the ultimate photo buffet. From the iconic under-the-pier shadows and those golden hour glow shots to rolling beach grass and a splash of a boardwalk texture, this place delivers every single time.

And yes? That iconic Cocoa Beach Pier sign, we’re getting it!

It’s one of those locations that just gives. The light changes by the minute (hello, Florida skies), the backgrounds shift with every step, and somehow, every single shot looks totally different from the one before it. It’s vibrant. It’s full of movement. And it’s perfect if you want a gallery that feels effortlessly coastal but still full of range.

Want to See More? Oh, You Will.

This is just the beginning. I’m rolling out a new blog series that will deep-dive each of these locations, so you can see exactly how much variety one senior and one outfit can create in just one session. (Spoiler: It’s a lot.)

Stay tuned for full features from:

Lake Louisa State Park: dreamy grass to rustic wood to peaceful lake
Downtown Winter Garden: murals, rooftops, and soft pops of color
Cocoa Beach Pier: golden glow to editorial edge, all in the same morning

Because you don’t need three locations to get a gallery that feels like three. You just need the right one, the right light, and a photographer who knows how to work it.
